Spencer Sorensen, Head Coach

Sorensen, a 2020 graduate of the Tigers program, brings a very notable playing career to the Tigers team as well as a wealth of coaching knowledge.  Sorensen played for the Tigers from 2016-2020 and played a huge role for the Tigers during that time and even served as an assistant captain his junior year and team captain during his senior year.  Sorensen also appeared two years in a row at the Omaha Hockey High School All Star Game and led the Tigers in goals his junior year and assists his senior year.

Spencer was born and raised right here in Fremont NE and grew up playing for the Fremont Flyers and Tigers hockey program.  He now gives back to the program by dedicating his time to coaching.

*Most recently Coach Sorensen coached the Fremont Tigers to their first-ever State Championship in an OT thriller!

Brock McQuistan, Assistant Coach

Brock got his introduction to hockey at a very young age right here at the Sidner Ice Arena in Fremont.  Brock was always known to be one of the "rink rats" who stayed at the rink from sun up to sundown.  Eventually, Brock began playing hockey and immediately fell in love with the game.  Brock played travel hockey for the Flyers up until his graduation in 2019.  After Graduating Brock played for the Pueblo Bulls in Pueblo CO for two years.  After his time ended in Pueblo Brock moved back to Fremont and couldn't stay away from the game.  Brock returned to the Sidner Ice Arena and immediately started hopping on the ice with any team he could.  Brock now volunteers to help with all levels of the Flyers program but served as the  Assistant Coach for the Fremont Tigers team.
