The Midwest High School Hockey League is proud to shine a spotlight on the exceptional achievements of its athletes, both in competition and in the classroom. As the season wraps up, it’s time to recognize the hard work and dedication of some outstanding players whose contributions have made a lasting impact on their teams.
One of the league's standout performers this season, Gavin Montiel-Cline, has earned recognition as the #6 Overall Junior Varsity Scorer. Gavin’s remarkable performance on the ice included 29 goals and 13 assists for a total of 42 points in just 21 games. Gavin’s ability to find the back of the net with consistency and precision reflects his hard work, skill, and passion for the game. His commitment to excellence and his impressive stats are a testament to his dedication to the sport. Congratulations, Gavin, on an outstanding season!
In addition to athletic prowess, the Midwest High School Hockey League also recognizes players who excel academically. This season, several players have been honored with Academic Awards for maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or better. These athletes have shown that success doesn’t just happen on the ice—it's also a result of their dedication to their studies and their ability to balance the rigors of academics and athletics.
